Encaustics

Encaustic is a pigmented wax based paint that is heated for application. It consists of purified beeswax, pigment, and damar resin.

I find great potential in a variety of materials - both traditional and the unexpected. My encaustic pieces regularly incorporate objects such as bb/s, ball bearings, mesh, wire, & metal.
